Magic Show at Jaharatala High School

Prakash Saha
Student(Class-XII)
XYZ School,3 January,2018
On 2 January,2018 a magic show was organized at our school. The eminent magician P.C Sarkar entered and we burst out in shout and scream. It was 70 minute programme and we hardly noticed how the time passed. The hall was filled the principal, Anupam Jha welcomed the magician with a formal address and a bouquet of flowers. There was pin-drop silence when the show finally started at 10 o’ clock in the morning. He engaged our mind with his ticks and plays. He vanished a handkerchief from a student’s pocket, then a pen from a teacher’s bag. Cards vanished and re-appeared out of thin air just in front of our eyes. He asked to use our reason but we failed each time. He even asked our physics teacher to explain the fact but the latter surrendered. It made us laugh a lot as science failed and magic won. At last he made a tiffin box float in the air and  milk drunk by the magician was seen to fill another glass kept on a nearby table, children in the audience found sweets in their pockets We were just awe-struck and became speechless. He was greeted with standing ovation as he deserved. When the show ended, he explained some of his tricks and said that it was nothing but a “brain game”. Magic is all about creating an illusion of eyes and mind.
