Nipah virus broken out

Malda, April 10: Malignant Nipah Virus broke out in an epidemic from in different parts of kerala
and West Bengal. The worst affected areas were Malda, Murshidabad, Balurghat
etc. So far 7 persons had died of this disease in these places and 50 people
had been seriously affected. The health minister visited the affected areas to
take stoke of the situation. He had taken measures to fight the disease. The
hospitals and health centre in the affected areas had been alerted. Medical
teams with medicines had already been sent to the affected areas. To officials
said that the health directorate had instructed all district medical officers
to set up emergency squads and collect required medicines from the Kolkata
headquators.
